International conference at Heidelberg University, June 10-12, 2024
The Research Training Group (Grako 2244): Authority and Trust in US Culture and Society is pleased to announce our international conference, “Institutional Authority: Trust, Judgment, Value,” June 10-12, 2024, hosted by the Heidelberg International Forum (IWH) and jointly organized with the Heidelberg Center for American Studies.
“Institutional Authority: Trust, Judgment, Value” concerns the making of literary culture within various socio-institutional spaces with a focus on the post45 period in the US. Confirmed speakers include Laura Bieger (Bochum), Kasia Boddy (Cambridge), Jim English (U Penn), John Guillory (NYU), Mark McGurl (Stanford), Laura McGrath (Temple), Xander Manshel (McGill), Corinna Norrick-Rühl (U Münster), Dan Sinykin (Emory).
